Who do we represent?
We only act for home owners and other individuals in mortgage cases. We do not act for mortgae and finance companies. We deal with mortgage cases regularly under Housing Duty schemes at local courts and generally.
Funding of cases
We offer Legal Aid advice and assistance under our Specialist contract to those who qualify. We provide a free first meeting and will check within that. Many owner-occupiers do qualify. For the portion who do not, we seek to agree realistic rates or fixed fees. We appreciate concerns about cost of advice but strongly advise obtaining it, given a home is at stake.
What do we cover?
We particularly deal with possession proceedings and warrants under mortgages, secured loans and similar. We have significant experience of consumer credit issues about secured loans and payment protection disputes. We make use of the Mortgage Protocoal and Government Assistance Schemes.
